Leading

Leading is not something that is restricted to only certain people; we are actually all called to lead ourselves by growing as disciples of Jesus Christ.

To lead others at different levels and contexts is then a calling and gift given to individuals by the grace of God. At the same time though, leading is also a skill that can be taught and learnt by anyone. So, in answering the age old question of whether leaders are born or made, we would answer both! Leaders are both born and made, and the combination of both gifting and the development of competencies produces the most effective leaders.  

Leading others is not about seeking power, having influence, or growing personal followers. Rather, leading others at C3 SYD is about empowering those who are in your context to help people know Jesus, find community, and discover purpose, all while exhibiting biblically based values.
