This is such a good time to worship God. You could complain or give thanks, you could worry or worship, you could panic, or you could pray. In these present times panic, worry and fear come uninvited into our lives. We must learn to live by faith, we must refuse to let our emotions overwhelm us, and instead believe in God’s word. When you speak the word of the Lord to yourself, it gives faith.

“faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.” Romans 10:17 (NIV)

We can sometimes fall into disbelief, doubt and worry. We must put faith back into our spirits and our minds, to operate from faith and not out of fear. If we reconnect that link with God in heaven, our faith becomes an anchor of hope. You will draw near to God and feel His presence in your life. He will be with you in your circumstances and give you an answer.

Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:13 (NIV)

“When they had carried out all that was written about him, they took him down from the cross and laid him in a tomb. But God raised him from the dead.” Acts 13:29-31 (NIV)

Whatever is locking you up, shutting you down, or walling you in, God is able to give you an answer, to roll that stone away, to get you out of the tomb and bring you back to life!

"Now it happened, the day after, that He went into a city called Nain; and many of His disciples went with Him, and a large crowd. And when He came near the gate of the city, behold, a dead man was being carried out, the only son of his mother; and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the city was with her. When the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, 'Do not weep.' Then He came and touched the open coffin, and those who carried him stood still. And He said, 'Young man, I say to you, arise.' So he who was dead sat up and began to speak. And He presented him to his mother."

Luke 7:11–15 (NKJV)

Jesus Himself is the resurrection! When you connect with Him, you connect with the One who has the power to resurrect from the dead! Jesus looked at the woman and the Bible says He loved her and had compassion for her. That is what motivated Him, and that’s what motivates Him today. He loves you and cares for you. It’s astonishing how powerful it is when you bring Christ into a situation, be it your finances, your health, job, housing, Jesus can change your circumstances. Whatever is going on in your world, Jesus is the answer.

SOMETHING TO TALK ABOUT

  1. When given the option of worry or worship in these present times – which are you choosing?
  2. Have you experienced a time when God resurrected/restored something in your life?
  3. Is there an area in your life right now that you need Jesus to change
  4. What is your next step to put faith into your spirit, your mind, your life?
  5. Is there anyone around you right now who needs a phone call or video call with a word of encouragement, faith or hope? Let’s put this into practice this week!
